about
Cave Your Head In lyrically is a continuation of some of the themes we explored on our last EP -- the push and pull of a toxic presence in your life, giving everything to someone or something that wouldn't do the same in return -- while also pushing some of the musical vocabulary to new places. There's instruments we've never played before, vocal tricks we've never tried, and a lot of wild experimentation on this song.

lyrics
I gave up your ghost, now I’m dizzy on the comedown
And I fought off your cold, but your words still linger around
I wish I could shed my skin, tear me limb from limb so I can feel comfortable again
Let me cave your head in, so I can split you into pieces
And we can stitch you back together, and finally make you whole again
Let me cave your head in, so I can take out your depressive thoughts
That linger deep inside you, steeped in dread
I stood out your storm, now i’m stuck beneath the wreckage
And i sharpened your sword, but you still ignored the lesson
Succumb to the circumstance, fall into a trance so i can feel blissful ignorance
Let me cave your head in, so I can split you into pieces
And we can stitch you back together, and finally make you whole again
Let me cave your head in, so I can take out your depressive thoughts
That linger deep inside you, steeped in dread
Fall in love with your shadow in the moonlight
Change my mind in the times when you lose control
You melt away like the snowfall in the springtime
Just fade to black and let the credits roll
Surrounding static like a relapse to your former self
You try and hide it through your lies but you’re still falling short
Tumble down your spiral staircase as a cry for help
The puzzle pieces of your problems starting to distort
Let me cave your head in, so I can split you into pieces
Let me cave your head in, so that we can feel the same
